	Oughterard is famous for its fishing especially the May fly season. There is also some beautiful walks the most famous being the Western Way. Oughterard is the ideal base for touring Connemara, the Aran Islands and Lough Corrib. Oughterard is also perfect for a golfing holiday with many golf course within easy access, as well as Oughterard's own course, which has recently been upgraded, there is also Ballyconnely, Barna, Salthill, Galway Bay and Oranmore. Plus many historical places of interest.


If you prefer to relax and let someone else do the planning we will be happy to arrange your golfing and fishing excursions.
