The Oughterard tourism Association have developed their own site, providing loads of information and pictures based on the Oughterard area. It even has samples of the local music, from bands like 'Ardvarna', a well-known traditional Irish music group. Here you can find detailed information about the village, from the restaurants to the golf club.

If you want to know more about Connemara, this is probably the best place to start. With plenty of history, photographs, local information, and maps, it has lots of resouces for getting to know the area.

Many of our guests ask about the artwork that decorates our walls. A lot of these works are from the Irish artist Jimmy Lawlor, who is based in Westport, and whose striking compositions have a unique and colourful character.
